Funding

Project Financing

When SWIL identifies a potential project, its funders are informed, and provided with a preliminary financial model based on educated assumptions regarding waste quantity and quality, along with informed equipment and installation costs, obtained from SWIL’s pre-selected equipment suppliers/installers.

Once SWIL obtains necessary indications, in writing, of a willingness to consider proceeding with the project, from the in-country decision makers, due diligence is initiated by SWIL, normally paid by the country, regarding the overall process in location, identifying all necessary aspects of what goes in to a successful SWIL project.

On completion of due diligence, SWIL with its funders proceed to a formal proposal to the location selected, and swiftly conclude all requirements and agreements between SWIL, the Funders and the in-country decision makers, resolving into a definitive agreement to move forward with the Project.

SWIL’s funder is a long-standing equity group, who ally themselves with large Pension Funds, with an already in place funding mechanism, and an agreement with SWIL to fund selected projects, which meet the working parameters of the funders and the Pension Fund.
